I shall be reborn

a poem by Juan Ramon Jimenez
translated by Salvador Ortiz-Carboneres

I shall be reborn as a stone,
and woman I shall still love you.

I shall be reborn as the wind,
and woman I shall still love you.

I shall be reborn as a wave,
and woman I shall still love you.

I shall be reborn as fire,
and woman I shall still love you.

I shall be reborn as a man,
and woman I shall still love you.

  3. when i saw your photographs all i could think was, "why are you not touching my face?", such is it between us that it is so often indecipherable between the grass and you and me. when i saw your comment all i could do was hide my face in my own hands.

the poem i had read just moments before in jimenez's book. when i read it i wondered with a childlike wonder on how a man might love a woman like this...knowing how a woman might love a man like this.

    your photographs are...
    the poem is.
    you are~

    love))) the most profound love))))

    1. erin: seeing this grass, being aware and walking in the morning air, and then taking these photographs, reading this poem -- it all felt like reaching out to touch your face. whenever i am truly alive, it is touching you, i know no difference.

this poem, these photographs, all that i can do or say or be, is a breath taken and held for saying i love you :-)))))

  4. I love very much the leaves of grass, how says the poet :) really,I love so much to lay in the grass and to see things from there- things are more joyfull,I think, more important and more childish,I don't know. But I know that I will always stay in the grass with your feeling-that this can be everything and that everything is green:)

    lovely pictures,like a life...
