it's funny, upon reading this line i was reminded that there is nowhere else to be but in the place that is exactly me.
when i was younger i travelled. no matter where i went, there i was. even now when i leave my house and go into the forest i find more of myself hanging from the branches, breathing between the breaks of trees, scurrying ass ended into piles of unremarkable debris.
erin: there are many ways to travel, including the long treks through the forest inside ... it isn't so much how far you go, as how intensely you go ... i am reminded of thoreau's claim, when asked about travel: "I have traveled a great deal in Concord." ... the world can be in concord, or in your forest ... (though also in Berlin, in Paris!)
really? looks far too exotic to be boring old scotland :) an island perhaps, there are beaches like that on the islands, now only if the wind would stop blowing...!
Incredible! As much as I'm afraid to fly those pictures has me wanting to board a plane right now to see such a wonderful veiw

musicwithinyou: you should go. even if you hate flying, it is more than worth enduring the plane :-)
ReplyDeleteMarion: Perhaps you could go there. It think this is the eastern coast of Scotland, or perhaps an island in the North Sea :-)
ReplyDeleteSusan: No, unfortunately. I spent a week in Europe, but now I am back in Indiana.... (what a contrast!)
