Robert: thank you for the good wish. sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between life's kindness and its cruelty, or perhaps knowing the difference takes times ... but yes, i wish the same for her :-)
almost something of caspar david, in the first one :-)
but how is it to be her, this particular small fire in this particular chest, her entire beauty filling and radiating out of this particular body? i don't know, i can't know - yet i know that the snow too fills her, and the sky, and the infinities of these waters, everything intermingles in a huge and dense tissue of life...
Roxana: is she filled or emptied by this scene? how strange, that these seem to be the same ...
no, we cn never know what it is to inhabit another body, another spirit ... this is tragic, but also the source of beauty ... we seem to come so close, but there is always some mystery ...
Marion: human presence in a landscape is a strange thing, isn't it? however small, the world still seems to organize itself around the person ... and yet she is so still here -- i think she is close to achieving what simone weil states as a goal, "to see a landscape as it is when i am not there"

ReplyDeleteLucia: that is exactly where she is looking :-)

burning bright to melt all that white once time has come. may life please treat her kind.

I love that first one, the way the cold blurs everything except for her
