(and now i am going to say something so silly and which will make you - hopefully - laugh: in the second photo, this is how i imagine Mephisto, intensely-brooding, concentrated energy, on the verge between light and darkness... and what with that crown of flames :-)
i am absolutely stopped by the first poem and the first photo. i feel knocked right on my ass and struck dumb. i want to revolt.
and the second! what a transformation.
i feel you have married these two poems so rightly. they stand on the same plot of land looking in opposite directions.
i feel only ascension in the second photograph despite the gravity of man's face. i want to live here, facing what he faces. not the other. i can not/could not bear (only) the other.
N.B.: i am combining two, separate short poems of Stanescu's ...
