  3. I think this is one of my favorite since it puts me in mind of Narnia tales. My favorite part is about Nineveh. Roxana I enjoyed the pictures you have up on your blog.

Susan: Nineveh, because of the associations it evokes (at least for me) -- an oasis in the desert, a fabulous and legendary place of luxury and beauty -- but I'm just guessing, these things happen largely through intuition. I've written other poems in response to Roxana's photographs, and, for some reason, some of them to be parts of some fragmented myth about wanderers in the desert who remember this place of lost beauty....
